Formation House: Holy Spirit Fathers Minor Seminary Suryapet

It was the decision of the provincial chapter 2008 to introduce another year of formation before one enters into the novitiate. The year of formation is called pre-novitiate. The decision was executed in the academic year beginning in 2008. The first batch is sent to the Novitiate house in Mysore as the house would be vacant since there would be no novices this year. Fr. Siju Joseph was appointed as the Superior and pre-novice master at Mysore along with Fr. Kiran Kumar. Meanwhile efforts are made to complete the pre-novitiate house at Suryapet that the formation program would go on smoothly. Though the original intention of building the house at Suryapet was to accommodate the candidates who are shifted from Ramanthapur doing their intermediate, the proposal was reconsidered for the college where they have to frequent for their studies is about six k.m. away from the house and the college is situated in the town itself. However the formation house for the candidates who are to do their intermediate studies are under consideration in the diocese of Warangal. Therefore for the past few years this houses servers as first year formation house.
