Formation House: Pre- Novitiate and Novitiate House Mysore

Independent and conducive houses for formation were a top priority of the Province. It was in this motive that different houses of formation are constructed. A Novitiate house was a long awaited desire of our community and it was getting actualized in 2003.

The community purchased four acres of land at Avirahalli, Belegola, Mandya district in the Diocese of Mysore. The land was purchased in the name of Rev. Fr. Sojan keeping par with the existing land laws in the state of Karnataka with internal agreements. Seeing the urgent need of a house for novitiate, the work was undertaken and completed towards the end of 2004. Fr. Johnson K.V. supervised the work of construction.

The new Holy Spirit Fathers Novitiate house at Mysore was blessed and inaugurated by Most Rev. Dr. Thomas Antony Vazhaplly, the Bishop of Mysore on 27th June 2005. The house is situated by the side of Kannur- Bangalore bypass road and about 17 kms away from the city of Mysore. The presence of other religious houses and their institutions gives this place a pleasant atmosphere and it is away from the disturbance of a city life.
