Church Colony parish is in the Archdiocese of Hyderabad right from the beginning of our community in India, it is the Archdiocese of Hyderabad who invited us and helped us in the initial stages. In our efforts to extend the pastoral service in the Archdiocese we are given a parish, Christ the king at Ramanthapur, very close to our Provincial House and first house in the Archdiocese. Fr. Gregory then in charge of the region and was the Parish Priest. He worked tirelessly that in a few years the parish marked a remarkable growth. Later other priests from our community namely Fr. Chinnaiah, Fr. Prasad, Fr. Dominic rendered their self-less service in the development of the Parish community, by 1998 the Parish grew to be the second large parish in the twin cities. It was under the splendid guidance of Fr. Chinnaiah that a beautiful church was constructed. Now the Archbishop Arulappa Samineni requested us to entrust back to the parish to the Archdiocese clergy. So, in the year 1998 the parish was entrusted to the care of the diocesan clergy in return Archbishop bifurcated one of the substations of the parish and entrusted to us with a written agreement for pastoral care and development. Thus, the beginning of our presence in concrete way in this catholic colony consisting mostly of migrant people who settled there.
Fr. Dominic who was the Parish Priest at Christ the king church, was transferred to the new Parish and was appointed as a Parish Priest. Of course, there was no infrastructure, except for a small chapel that was already there. Thus we began the work of the presbytery, we under took the construction of new church. The foundation stone of the new church was laid by our superior general Dr. Amadeus Macha on 21st November 2002. The work progressed fast and on 21st February 2003 the new church was blessed and inaugurated by Most Rev. Marampudi Joji, the archbishop dedicating it to the Holy Spirit. Following Fr. Dominic, many other priests of our community extended their service in the parish; Fr. Y.Chinnaiah, Fr. Prakash,Fr. B.Anand, Fr. Arokia Dass served as the assistant parish priest. After that Fr. Balaswamy Pasala, Fr. Jaya Raju, Fr. John Paul, Fr. Stephan Chinnabathini, Fr. Arokia Dass and at present Fr. Polisetty Jojappa is the Parish Priest.
