The Infant Jesus Church – Bayyanagudem (2022)

Considering the spiritual and pastoral needs of the people of God, the Bishop of Eluru proposed an idea to bifurcate the existing parish Gavaravaram (Koyyalagudem) in to two. Finally, the Roman Catholic Diocese of Eluru has declared, THE INFANT JESUS CHURCH, Bayyannagudem, Koyyalagudem Mandal, and Eluru District, as a new parish with effect from 15 May 2022, with the following villages as the sub-stations, Kethavaram, Yerrampeta, Thirumalapuram, Ramanujapuram, Vedanthapuram, Dharmaraopeta and Saripalli.

This is the beginning of a new chapter in the community of Holy Spirit Fathers, only because of the grace of the Almighty God and the efforts of the Very Rev. Fr. Jojappa Pasala, the Provincial Superior. The day, 15th May 2022 has arrived and among all the dignitaries: Very Rev. Fr. Jojappa Pasala, the Provincial Superior, Rev. Frs. Ravi Kata, Showrilu Gundiga, Francis Kakara, Nara Suresh, and the people of God, in the presence of Rev. Fr. John Peter, the Dean of Nirmalagiri who represented the Diocese, officially declared THE INFANT JESUS CHURCH, Bayyannagudem, as the new parish. Fr Francis Kakara is the parish priest and Fr. Sameer Kumar Nayak is the assistant parish priest rendering their services in the Bayyannagudem Parish. 20th of June 2022 was a red-letter day in the history at Infant Jesus Church, Bayyannagudem Parish. On this day the Tabernacle was blessed and installed by His Lordship Most. Rev. Jaya Rao Polimera, the Bishop of Eluru Diocese, in the August presence of our beloved Provincial Superior Very. Rev.
